Early Release Day-3 hour early @ 1:00 pm
Keene Mill will have Early Release on Wednesday, December 10. Most students will go home at 1:00 pm and some will stay for supervision until 4:00 pm.

 Winter Spirit Week
Join in to celebrate the week before Winter Break!
Monday, December 15: Wear your winter/holiday ugly sweater or holiday t-shirt.
Wednesday, December 17: Sport a winter/holiday hat or headband.
Friday, December 19: Get ready for a comfy day at school by wearing pajamas and bringing a stuffed animal.
🙋♂️ Attendance Is Important Every Day!
Every year, absences increase in the weeks before and after winter break. Give your child the gift of education and help build a habit of attendance. Visit the FCPS website for more attendance resources.
Attendance interims will be sent home in next week’s Thursday Folder to those students who are currently chronically absent- absent for 10% or more of the school year (excused and unexcused).
 Lost and Found
The lost and found has many warm winter coats and jackets as well as many water bottles. If your student is missing an item, please ask them to look in the lost and found. Labeling all outerwear, water bottles and lunch boxes with first and last names ensures things will be returned.
Window for Full-Time AAP Referrals Closes on December 15, 2025
Please visit the FCPS AAP site for helpful information regarding the referral process. For your convenience, here are the links for the Full-Time (Level IV) Referral Form and Parent/Guardian Questionnaire.
All documents should be emailed to Mrs. Brandt at JBrandt@fcps.edu no later than December 15th. For more information about all of the AAP services we offer, please visit your child’s Schoology course and look in the Advanced Academics Folder for the AAP September Newsletter.
