Dear Wolftrap Families,
Welcome to December! I’m so pleased to let you know that our food drive during November was a wonderful success. The Committee for Helping Others (CHO) dropoff was on Monday, November 24th. The organization asked us to THANK YOU. The donations will help CHO provide more food to families during the holidays. Wolftrap collected 225 lbs. of food!!! Third grade won for the most donations, 99 items to be exact!! We will award third grade some extra recess and lots of love for their wonderful effort.
Be on the lookout for opportunities to donate this winter season to those in need. Keep an eye on the lost and found. If those items are not claimed by December 17th, they will be donated to our neighbors. Thank you!
Dr. Maggie Grove, Principal

Reminder to Complete Your Impact Aid Form ASAP! Federal Impact Aid provides revenue to local education agencies to mitigate costs of educating children in areas impacted by federal activity. Impact Aid is intended to offset the costs (e.g. staff, facilities, and transportation) associated with educating military dependent children and other special groups.
Please fill out your Impact Aid Form as soon as possible (one for each child in FCPS). To access the form, log in to your SIS ParentVUE account and select the Online Packets tab in the top right corner.
Paper forms were sent home in mid-November. If you would prefer to fill out the paper form, please return it to the office as soon as possible. Need another paper form? Contact the office at 703-319-7300.
National Special Education Day: National Special Education Day is recognized each year on December 2 and commemorates President Gerald Ford’s signing of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) in 1975. We celebrate our teachers and staff who serve and support our students receiving special education services, as well as our families who are partners in the education and support of those students! We have updated the Wolftrap website to include resources for families, and I have included some other resources here. Learn more about the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
