Good afternoon, Lane families! We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
We are reaching out to remind you that our annual Lane Library Book Fair starts Monday. All students will be visiting the fair on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to browse the books and other items on sale and make their wishlists. Purchasing will start at Family Night on Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. All families are welcome to stop by!
Students will also have a chance to purchase items on Thursday and Friday at scheduled class times, and family members may come in on those days between 2 and 3:30 p.m. to purchase items.
Volunteers Needed!
We need parent volunteers to help the Book Fair run smoothly throughout the week. Early in the week, volunteers will help students browse through books and make their wishlists. At Family Night on Wednesday, and during the school day later in the week, volunteers are needed to run the registers and help students and families with purchases.
Shifts are available during the afternoon on all five days next week, as well as Wednesday evening during Family Night and Thursday and Friday mornings. (Note: If you have not yet created an account on Volunteer FCPS – the district's new central volunteer sign-up system – you will be asked to create an account and fill out at an application. It only takes a few minutes and makes you eligible to sign up for other volunteer opportunities in the future.)
