MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR BOOK FAIR!!!
The Bookworm Central Winter Book Fair is coming the week of December 8th – 12th during school hours.
We will be holding a family night on Tuesday, December 9th from 4:30pm – 7:30pm. If you are unable to make it to the family night , your child can purchase during their class’s assigned time.
Special Event - Author Signing!
VES parent and published author, Leah Moser, will be signing copies of her children’s picture book, I Am a Thundercloud , during Family Night!
Proceeds from the book fair are used to improve the library collection. Your support of the school library program is greatly appreciated! If you have any questions, please contact our librarian, Mrs. Armendariz at kmarmendariz@fcps.edu

AAP REFERRALS
|
All AAP full-time referral forms, optional parent questionnaires, and optional home samples (maximum of two single sided samples) must be submitted to Mrs. Subhi by December 15, 2025. Any referrals after December 15th will not be accepted. Full-time documents can be e-mailed or sent in as a paper copy. Please note that home samples will not be returned back to families.

LOST AND FOUND
Our Lost and Found is overflowing with sweaters, hoodies, jackets, and water bottles! Thanks to our helpful Student Ambassadors, all items have been organized and will be available in the main foyer for families to check from Friday, November 21 through December 5. Please stop by to see if anything belongs to your child. After December 5, all unclaimed items will be donated.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS
We especially appreciate everyone’s efforts to avoid taking extra days off during the Thanksgiving holiday. Just a few missed days here and there, even if they’re excused absences, can add up to too much lost learning time and leave your child behind in school. This is as true in kindergarten as it is in high school.
We know it’s tempting to extend your vacation by a few days on either side of the holiday. Please do your best to have your child here every day and on time. We’ll be here!
