📢 Community Reminder: Virginia's Cell Phone Policy for Students 📵
We want to remind all families about the Virginia law regarding student cell phone use during school hours to ensure a focused and productive learning environment. It is crucial that students keep their personal communication devices silenced and in their locker from the first bell to the last.
Please be aware of the standardized consequences for violations:
- The 1st violation results in a warning.
- A 2nd violation will lead to one detention after school.
- A 3rd violation will result in two detentions after school.
- Finally, a 4th violation is a significant consequence: you will lose your phone for 20 school days and will be required to turn it in at the office each morning and pick it up at the end of the school day.
We appreciate your support in reinforcing these rules for a better educational experience for everyone.
Share Table at Herndon HS
A share table is a designated area where students can place unwanted, unopened cafeteria food and beverages. Beginning this week, a Share Table will be in the cafeteria near the kitchen during all lunches. The goal of this Share Table is to promote food conservation, eliminate food waste, and share with fellow classmates. Please look for the table and signs if you have items to SHARE.
