This week, our Dental Careers 1 students spent time in the clinic learning one of the most essential skills in dental assisting: the proper cleaning, packaging, and sterilization of dental instruments. Students walked through each stage of the process and learned how to operate key pieces of equipment including the ultrasonic cleaner for removing debris and the autoclave for final sterilization. After completing demonstrations in the dental lab, students always have the opportunity to practice the skills they have learned on their own to build confidence and reinforce understanding. After several rounds of practice, students were tested on their sterilization competencies by demonstrating the steps in front of their teacher, Mrs. Martin. These Dental 1 students did an amazing job showing off their sterilization skills!
 Cisco 2 students worked to prepare over 40 computers for this week's CyberPatriot competition.
 Carpentry students have been busy sanding and staining wood boards to prepare them for use in a project.
 PT/OT level 1 students practiced using gait belts to support patients with mobility issues.
 Auto Collision students work together to complete a headlight restoration.
 Cosmetology 2 students continue to practice and refine their skills in the salon to prepare for their State Board exam in the spring.
