Twin Day - November 21
Our next spirit day will be Twin Day on next Friday, November 21.This is not limited to two people. We highly encourage triplets, Quadruplets, etc. Whole class dress up is also highly encouraged and acceptable.

Family Life Education (FLE)
Parents of students in grades K-6 are invited to a Family Life Education Parent Preview Night on Tuesday, November 18th at 5:00 pm via Zoom to review curriculum materials and media. FLE instruction for K-3 focuses on emotional and social health, while grades 4-6 also include a human growth and development unit. If you do not wish for your child to participate in any or all FLE lessons, please complete the opt-out form available in Parent Digital Consent (PDC) or request a paper form from the main office.

Lightspeed Reports
FCPS has introduced new parent controls in the Lightspeed Parent Portal to help families manage screen time on FCPS-issued devices. Through the portal, parents can control their child's access to YouTube and pause web browsing during designated After-School Hours while students are off the FCPS network. These controls are active Monday - Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:00 AM (even on student holidays) and all day Saturday and Sunday. They do not affect district filtering policies during the instructional day. Parents can register for the Lightspeed Parent Portal using the link provided in their weekly Lightspeed Online Student Activity Report email. ✅ Federal Impact Aid Survey
FCPS is asking all families to complete a Federal Impact Aid Survey. The form is available in SIS ParentVUE under Online Packets, which is in the upper right corner of the screen after logging in. Please complete the survey as soon as possible.
Our school will provide paper forms to families who have not completed the survey in ParentVUE. For more information, please visit the Federal Impact Aid Survey page or watch this video about why Impact Aid matters.

🩹 Immunization Events for FCPS Students
FCPS, in partnership with Inspire Health Alliance, will provide school-required immunizations and optional flu shots to all FCPS students at no cost. Additional dates will be made available throughout the school year.
Immunization clinics will take place on:

Saturday, November 15, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Frost Middle School.

Tuesday, November 18, from 3 to 6:30 p.m., at Willow Oaks Administrative Center.
Participation is voluntary. Additional Immunization Resources are available online. Parents or guardians may schedule an appointment for their student.️
🐾 P.A.W.S. (Parents Appreciating Wonderful Staff)
When you see a staff member go above and beyond for your child or family, please take a moment to fill out the PAWS form to show your appreciation! We will then hand deliver your anonymous message to the staff member so they know they are appreciated. 😊

We love celebrating the season of gratitude with our TLES community! We're opening our doors once again for our special Thanksgiving luncheon, and we warmly welcome all TLES families. Bring your friends, extended family, and loved ones—the more, the merrier! We can't wait to share a meal with you.

Ticket sales will begin on November 10th between 8:00AM and 4:30 PM in the Main Office. Cash or check is accepted.
