Veterans’ Day Luncheon and Parade
Greenbriar West Elementary School recently hosted a special Veterans Day luncheon on Friday, November 7th to honor our military-connected families. Over 25 families gathered to enjoy a catered meal provided by local businesses: Texas Roadhouse, Buffalo Wing Factory, Chicken Salad Chick, and Wegmans.
Following the luncheon, a parade was held to celebrate these families. Students lined the halls with American Flags to cheer and show their appreciation for the sacrifices made by their military connected friends and loved ones. The school community is proud to have representation from all six branches of the U.S. military within our families and our school staff.
A special thank you to Beth McCoy, Katie Belyea-Musitani, Mari Thomason, Kay Billman, and Assia Samizay for their hard work to organize this event and supporting our military connected families. The school hopes this event fostered a sense of community and pride among its military-connected families.
