Celebrating FCHS Veterans!

Last week we celebrated Veterans Day by honoring our staff members who have  served in the armed forces.

Mr. Bolstad - US Army National Guard - 6 years

Mr. Bertha - US Air Force - 22 Years

Mrs. Bertha - US Air Force - 20 years

Mrs. Cassady - US Air Force - 6 Years

Ms. McDonald - US Navy - 32.5 years

Mr. Morehouse - US Navy - 5 years

Thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and service. Our school is grateful for the example you set and the freedoms you’ve helped protect. We honor you today and always.

Attendance Matters!

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we want to thank you for your continued partnership. This week and next are crucial for student success, and we need your support to finish strong before the break.

Attendance is Key This Week

This week is a full week, and our teachers are busy ensuring students are prepared before the Thanksgiving break. Please ensure your child attends school every day. Consistent attendance is the best way to keep up with essential assignments, key lessons, and scheduled tests, helping to minimize stress and prevent falling behind.

  • Attendance Policy Reminder: We want to remind you that trips scheduled during school hours—even when a pre-arranged form is submitted—are counted as unexcused absences.

What to Expect Next Week (The Two-Day Week)

Next week is a shortened two-day week, but the commitment to learning remains high!

  • Teachers will continue to teach, introduce new concepts, and administer assignments and tests. Please ensure your child attends both days as scheduled.

Your collaboration and support during these final days will ensure your child's academic success and make their transition into the holiday break smooth and stress-free.

Required Make-Up Time Reminder

We continue to remind parents and legal guardians that if your child has accumulated 10 or more missed days of school, they need to attend the after-school sessions to make up the time and catch up on their assignments.

  • Students should report to the main office and ask for the Deans to check in for attendance recovery (IPFIT). The program runs from Wednesday to Thursday, 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. On Wednesday, transportation is provided, but on Thursday, students must arrange their own transportation.
