Principal's Message
As we celebrate Veteran's Day, Chesterbrook hosted 17 Veteran's and current military men and women (including many parents and family members, to our classrooms Monday. We are fortunate to partner with Vinson Hall throughout the year and welcomed 11 Veterans from our their community. Our students heard from members of the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy and Space Force. Thank you to all our families and community members that currently serve and have served our nation.

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION UPDATE - Level 2 Volunteers for Field Trips
We received recent information that fingerprinting of volunteers will be paused due to the significant strain on the high volume of level 3 processing. Parent volunteers that are pending level 3, will be downgraded to level 2 (for field trip supervision and room parents).
Only mentors, tutors and non parent volunteers having unsupervised contact with students will require fingerprinting.
All chaperones and class activity volunteers will still need to register. - now as a level 2. Therefore, you still need to complete the online form for volunteer registration.
Thank you to everyone for your due diligence in trying to meet these new expectations in supporting our activities. All volunteers will need to sign in at our office kiosk when you volunteer at the school and on field trips.
REPORT CARDS
We aim to keep parents up to date with the academic progress of your students. I hope you found end of quarter conferences helpful as we work to support your children in their growth. Report cards are live in SIS as of Monday, 11/10, and teachers will send home a hard copy in Thursday folders this week.

Playground not Open During Early Release
Parents, our playground is not available for families while we still have students in session during early release (12:35 - 3:45). You are welcome to come by after our dismissal.

PHILANTHROPY CLUB DRIVE
The Chesterbrook Philanthropy Committee in partnership with Vinson Hall will be collecting personal care items for those in need in our McLean community. Each grade level has been assigned an item. Any and all donations appreciated from November 12th - 24th.

Our Lost & Found is bursting at the seams! If your child’s coat has been living its best life at school for the past few weeks, please come rescue it. Items not claimed by Friday, November 21 will be donated to Share of McLean!

Do you need to update your student's release plan for next week's early release?
CLICK HERE to update plan for your child before next Tuesday at 6PM (notice time extension for the form).
Any changes after Tuesday at 6PM will need to go into Pick Up Patrol.
