We are proud to recognize our Health and Medical Science students who represented Chantilly Academy at the HOSA Regional Leadership Conference on Monday, November 3! Our students' hard work and dedication to exploring and pursuing future health careers truly shined as they competed and was evident in their impressive competition results. Congratulations to all participants for their outstanding efforts and achievements.
In addition to the individual and team results below, Chantilly Academy's HOSA chapter came in 2nd place overall at the event - it was a true team effort!

HOSA Bowl - 3rd place: Priya V., Ananya P., Rhea S., Meghana P.
CPR/First-Aid - 1st place (tied): Lin Lett A. & Chloe L. and Makayla D. & Julia H.
Sports Medicine - 1st place: Jasmine B.
Pharmacy Science - 3rd place: Ishaan M.
 STEM Engineering students are in the lab creating passive phone speakers. As they follow the design specifications, students are responsible for every step including cutting, assembling, and finishing each element of their wooden speaker box.
 PT/OT level 2 students visited George Mason University's School of Kinesiology where they learned about advanced technologies used in the human movement fields including the Just Jump System for measuring vertical jump capability and the Body Pod for measuring body density and body fat percentage.
 Our Culinary Arts program served up a delicious Friday Grab 'n Go lunch offering a club sandwich, house made potato chips, cream of broccoli soup, and fresh-squeezed raspberry lemonade.
 Court was in session this week in Criminal Justice 2 where students participated in a mock trial complete with a prosecution, defense team, witnesses, judge, and jury.
 A Medical Assistant student demonstrates how to expertly remove PPE without getting a drop of (fake) blood on herself.
