Cross Country Meet at HMS!
🏁 Final Cross Country Meet Before Championships – This Saturday, November 8th at Carson Middle!
Let’s finish the season strong! Our HMS cross country team will be lacing up for their final race of the season this Saturday at Carson Middle School. Come cheer on our incredible runners as they give it their all one last time. The first race kicks off at 8:10 AM—don’t be late!

📍 Why Are School Boundaries Being Reviewed?
Fairfax County Public Schools is currently evaluating school boundary lines to better serve students across the district. This review is part of a long-term planning effort aimed at improving equity, efficiency, and community alignment.
🎯 Key Goals of the Boundary Review Include:
- Ensuring equitable access to academic programs and school facilities

Balancing enrollment to make the best use of available space
- Reducing split feeder patterns and isolated attendance zones
- Minimizing student travel time for a more manageable commute
This process welcomes community input and is designed to support thoughtful, future-focused decisions across all FCPS schools.
