Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) proudly celebrates Veterans Day as we honor the courage, commitments, and sacrifices made by our nation’s veterans.
We pause to pay tribute to all men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces, including members of the FCPS family. We extend our deepening gratitude to our veterans and their families, who have shown unwavering strength and dedication.
Although November 11 is a school holiday, our schools will take the opportunity throughout this week to educate our students about the significance of Veterans Day and the profound impact veterans have on our community. Through assemblies, classroom guest speakers, and learning activities, our students gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for those who have served our country.
