 Principal's Message
We enjoyed seeing our students in their spirit wear this week! Working in education it is imperative we keep play in our day and being able to celebrate these special events with our students is so fun. Congratulations to our winning teams with their costumes today - 3rd Grade with Chick-fil-A, 6th grade with Wicked and 2nd grade with 6-7. All in all a fun and festive day to close out the week. Wishing our trick or treaters a fabulous evening. Stay warm and safe out in the community!
As we look ahead to November, please mark your calendars for upcoming events including early release, thanksgiving lunch and turkey trot. We also are introducing a new school culture positive collaboration between grade levels - Chesterbrook Thoughtful Thursdays. Along with Kinder buddies, who pair up with 6th grade throughout the year, all grade levels are now paired up with buddies to create special projects to give back to the school community in a positive way. We look forward to seeing the collaborative work of our students.
Reminder to change your clocks back this weekend and students are off Monday and Tuesday as we wrap up first quarter. When you come by to vote, please check our lost and found - so many items need to find their owners! See you all next Wednesday.
We are working to post more on social media as we share all the great things we are doing here at school. Follow us on Facebook (Chesterbrook Elementary School and Principal Kirkpatrick) and Instagram (Chesterbrookchipmunks)!
Sincerely,
Stacy Kirkpatrick and Lara Macdonald
