Hello Bailey's families!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Spooktacular Virtual Reading this past Monday!  We had a fantastic crowd, loved all the stories, and enjoyed so many great stories by our amazing readers. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

A quick reminder that this Friday, October 31st marks the end of the 1st quarter. There will be a 2 hour early release on Friday and schools will be closed on Monday and Tuesday.

It’s hard to believe how quickly the school year is moving! We’ve already shared so many great events and wonderful moments together and I look forward to what the 2nd quarter has to bring. A big thank you as well to everyone who attended our PTA meeting last week. Your participation and ideas make a huge difference. Our next PTA Meeting will be on Wednesday, December 3rd Via Zoom (link to be shared closer to the date)

Our Annual Winter coat drive is now open for students who are in need of a coat. Please see below for more events and information. I hope that you get to have a great 4 day weekend with your loved ones.

The end of the 1st quarter will be Friday October 31st. We will also have a a 2 hour early release. Please plan your child's pick up accordingly.

School Closure

All FCPS schools will be closed on Monday, November 3rd for teacher work day and Tuesday, November 4th for election day. Classes will resume on Wednesday, November 5th.

Is Your Child In Need Of A Coat This Winter?

Bailey's PTA is proud to announce that we are launching our annual winter coat drive for our Bailey's students in need of a winter coat. We will be providing coats for 200 students through a lottery system. To enter the lottery, please use the link or QR code below and fill out the form. If your child's name is chosen, we will notify you in the next 2 weeks.

Please keep in mind that this is only for current Bailey's students and you MUST fill out a form for EACH child that you are requesting a coat for.

Our goal is to provide some warmth this winter season.

If your child was absent on picture day or you'd like to retake his/her picture mark your calendar for the following dates:

Primary Picture day retake: Wednesday, December 3rd

Please remember to notify the homeroom teacher if your child needs to retake their school picture so that they are aware. If you have already purchased pictures, kindly return them before the retake session. Please send in the exact change when paying for your child's pictures, as we will not have cash on hand to provide change.

The PTA Reflections Arts Program invites K–5 students to share their talents in dance, film, writing, music, photography, or visual arts.

All orders MUST be in by Friday, November 21, unfortunately we will not be able to accept any late orders nor delay our shipping date. Please have your child turn in the forms to either their homeroom teacher or the PTA box at the front off at Bailey's Primary or Upper.

Winter Gear Donation Drive

Bailey's PTA is launching our annual coat drive. Every winter, we collect new coats, gloves and hats to distribute to our Bailey's kids in need of a coat. Our goal is to help as many as we can and we could not do this with out you! Your contribution and generosity goes far beyond just a coat, it shows how great the Bailey's community is. 

There are several ways you can help:

  • Shop from our Amazon wish list (link below)

  • Purchase new items from your favorite store and drop them in the collection bin at Bailey’s Primary

  • Donate directly to our coat drive fund

We are collecting new coats in sizes 3T through Adult Medium, for both boys and girls.
