Dear Lees Corner Community,
We have some incredibly exciting news to share!
We are thrilled to announce that Lees Corner Elementary School has been officially designated as a recipient of the Virginia Purple Star Award for the 2025-2026 school year.
The Purple Star Designation is bestowed upon schools that demonstrate a significant commitment to meeting the needs of military-connected students and families. This recognition is a direct result of our school-wide efforts to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all children, especially those whose families serve our nation.
This award is valid for three school years, beginning with the current 2025-2026 year.
We received a special message of appreciation that stated: "On behalf of your military-connected and newest students, please accept my sincerest appreciation to all involved in making your school a welcoming and supportive place, especially for our military-connected students."
Please join us in celebrating this important achievement! We are proud to honor our military families and look forward to continuing to serve them with excellence.
