Kings Park Families,
Thursday, November 20th, is National Family Engagement Day. Here at Kings Park, we strive to offer families a variety of ways to engage - through events, volunteer opportunities, and open communication - so that every family feels included and informed. Families play a vital role in shaping a supportive, connected school community, and we value the partnership we have with each of you. We're so glad you're a part of Kings Park's story!

Celebrating the Kings Park/Kings Glen PTA
We are deeply grateful for the Kings Park/Kings Glen PTA and the dedication they show our community. Their work organizing after-school enrichment programs - from robotics to zumba - creates meaningful opportunities for our students. Through their fundraising efforts, the PTA provides vital support that allows our school to invest in enriching learning experiences and resources for every student. Their commitment to building a strong, inclusive school community through events, communication, and support truly makes Kings Park/Kings Glen a better place for all children. Thank you, PTA, for believing in our students, our families, and our shared mission.
Keep in Touch with the PTA. A great way to keep in touch with the PTA is to subscribe to our emails and/or join our Facebook group. Our website also features an updated PTA events calendar. Join the PTA. We hope all members of the KP/KG community will consider joining the PTA this school year. Join on our website!

Meet Kings Park's Family Liaison - Cinthia Loza
Every FCPS school has a family liaison who welcomes and orients families while helping them understand the school’s culture, policies, procedures, and practices. They can connect families to community resources and provide support during transitions to a new school. Family liaisons also encourage strong family–school partnerships to help ensure each student’s success and healthy development. Kings Park is lucky to have Cinthia Loza as our Family Liaison.
My name is Cinthia Loza, and I’m so grateful to serve as your Family Liaison. My role is to help strengthen the partnership between our families, students, and school staff. I’m passionate about making sure every family feels supported, informed and welcome to our school community. In my free time I love spending time with my family and participating in church activities. I was born in Peru, I have 2 wonderful kids and 3 beautiful dogs; I love going to beach and love going to the mountains in the fall. Please feel free to reach out to me by email csloza@fcps.edu or phone 703.426.7011.

Kings Park ES Gift Card Drive
As the weather cools and we head into this season of gratitude, we are reaching out to ask for your help. We are currently collecting gift cards to assist Kings Park ES families in need. Gift cards to Giant, Safeway, Walmart, and Target will go directly to families of students facing food insecurity and/or requiring assistance with basic necessities and seasonal support. Even small donations can make a big impact. Gift cards are being collected now through December 12th. They can be dropped off in a box in the front office or sent with your child in an envelope marked, “Attention: School Counselors or School Social Worker.”
We are thankful to have such a generous and caring community and truly appreciate your support! Questions? Does your family need support? Please contact social worker Katie Carroll, kcarroll3@fcps.edu, family liaison Cinthia Loza, csloza@fcps.edu, or school counselors Corri Shusterman, rcshusterman@fcps.edu, and Tracy Rossi, tlrossi@fcps.edu.
