Courtyard Beautification

Forestville would like to thank 5th grade teacher Mr. Drost for his amazing work the past few weeks in our courtyard. He has been getting it ready for winter and helping it be in a beautiful place for spring. He has built raised beds to support upcoming activities, including salad building! We look forward to making this space a focal point for our students, staff and community!

Save the Date - November 10 Veterans Day Assembly

Forestville will honor and celebrate the brave men and women who have served and/or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces during our Veterans Day Assembly on Monday, November 10 at 9:30 a.m. in the Gym.

We invite all veterans and active-duty military members to join us and be recognized for this special event. Uniforms are welcome and not required. Following the assembly, guests* are welcome to visit a classroom to share about their experiences in the military and answer students’ questions.

In addition, we invite all Forestville families to join us during this special recognition and hope you can make plans to attend. All students, staff and guests are invited to wear red, white and blue!

*If you are interested in speaking to a class, please reach out to Mrs. Schnaue at saschnaue@fcps.edu so she can connect you with a class.

We are grateful for the opportunity to recognize and learn from those who have dedicated themselves to serving our country.

Bookworm Central Book Fair Begins November 17

Forestville is looking forward to our annual PTA sponsored Bookworm Central Book Fair coming in November. This is an amazing opportunity to shop for high quality literature at the Forestville Library. Students brought home the pictured flyer in Tuesday Folders today. Take some time in the coming weeks to review with your child and share the excitement of the event!

Make plans to join us for an evening of shopping and ice cream at our PTA Ice Cream Social and Book Fair Night on Wednesday, November 19 from 6-8 p.m.

Elementary students and their teacher sit in a circle on a rug for a morning meeting/circle time. A video play button is overlaid.

Ever wonder what a morning meeting looks like in second grade? 🤔 In Ms. Cornman's class, it’s all about building our classroom family and warming up our brains for a day of fun learning! 🧠☀️

Our students start the day by greeting each other by name, and then it's time for our daily share! Today’s big question: Would you rather live in a jungle 🌳🐅 or a desert 🌵🐪?

Next up, a super fun group game of "I have...Who Has?" to practice our addition facts! ➕🔢 Finally, we read our morning message together to get ready for the day ahead! It's the best way to start the day! ❤️
