 Message from Mrs. Briggs
Next week is Digital Citizenship Week! Students will be learning about healthy technology habits through our school news show and are encouraged to complete activities with their classes. If you are looking for additional resources to guide technology use and conversations at home, consider utilizing Common Sense Media.
In addition, Wednesday, October 29th is a 3-hour early release. You should have received an email confirming whether your child will be staying for a child care hardship until 3:35pm or leaving at 12:35pm. If you are unsure of your selection, please contact the main office at 703-506-3400.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Sincerely,
Amy Briggs

IMPACT AID - ONLINE NOW
The Federal Impact Aid Survey is now available to complete online.
The Federal Impact Aid program provides money to districts that enroll federally connected students. Help FCPS secure funding from the Impact Aid Program by helping us identify:
- Military families.
- Federally connected families.
- Families living on a military base.
Please complete one form for each child in your household. Remember that only the parent that registered the student with FCPS (the ‘enrolling parent’) can fill out the Impact Aid Survey form.
For families without access to ParentVUE, a paper copy of the form will be sent home with your student starting November 12. Your information will be kept strictly confidential.
Your support will ensure that we receive the resources for which we are eligible.
To access the Impact Aid Form from your computer or mobile device, we recommend using Google Chrome.
Step 1: CLICK HERE or type sisparent.fcps.edu into your Chrome address bar to be taken to SIS ParentVUE. If you don’t have a SIS ParentVUE account, contact your child’s school for an activation letter.
Step 2: After you’ve logged into your ParentVue Account, look for the ‘Online Packets’ link at the top of the page. Click ‘Online Packets’.
Step 3: Next, click the ‘Federal Impact Aid Survey’ button at the bottom of the page. This will take you to the Impact Aid Survey for you to complete.
If you have multiple children in Fairfax County Public Schools, please fill out a form for each child. You will know you have completed all of the forms when you get to the final page and see a green check next to each of their names.
For questions, please email Denise Barber at DBarber@fcps.edu

A Message from the PTO
PUMPKIN PAINTING PARTY
Thursday, October 30 - 5:30-7:30pm
Join us for this festive, free and family friendly Pumpkin Painting Party hosted by the PTO.
Each child will receive a pumpkin to decorate and take home. This free event is open to all Spring Hill families. Please reserve your spot here today, so we can plan for enough supplies.
We look forward to seeing silly, spooky, and festive designs, using provided art supplies. This event will be held in the cafeteria, and we will provide light refreshments. This is NOT a drop-off event - a parent, guardian, or caregiver must be present with each child.
We welcome your Halloween costumes and attire, but it is certainly not required - We can’t wait to see you there!
We would appreciate your help running this event - please sign up here to volunteer your time.
TASTE OF SPRING HILL (TOSH)
Thursday, November 13th - 5:30-7:30pm
Taste of Spring Hill (TOSH) is a special evening which celebrates the rich cultural heritage of our entire Spring Hill Community. We hope to have as many cultures and countries (or U.S. states) represented as possible!
Help us transform the cafeteria into a robust Cultural Showcase, by sharing your culture, country and heritage at a booth. Ideas include cultural décor, food, performances, games, pictures, food tastings, and posters, and more. Please use this TOSH Google Form to participate in this incredible event. We will connect families from the same culture who sign up so you can coordinate with one another!
TOSH VOLUNTEER: We welcome your involvement, no matter how big or small, helping to organize, set up, and greet guests via this TOSH Volunteer link. Thank you for your support!
