Digital Citizenship Week

Digital Citizens

Key Center is celebrating Digital Citizenship Week from Monday, October 13th, through Friday, October 24th!

Every year, schools across the country dedicate the third week of October to teaching students how to be responsible and respectful online.

Our students will participate in special classroom lessons with School-Based Technology Specialist Beth Curtis, where they'll learn how to be good digital citizens, including taking excellent care of their digital devices. We're even adding some fun to the mix by reading the popular parody books, If You Give a Mouse an iPhone and Good Night iPad!

National School Bus Safety Week

School Safety Week

Next week, October 20th - 24th, our school will join communities across the country in observing National School Bus Safety Week.

School buses remain the safest way for students to travel to and from school, and this week is a perfect opportunity to remind everyone—students, parents, and drivers—of the critical role we all play in keeping the ride safe.

We especially urge all local motorists to be extra vigilant. Remember: When the red lights are flashing and the stop-arm is extended, traffic must stop—it's the law, and it saves lives.

Thank you for helping us ensure that every student has a safe journey, every day!

Bond Referendum

FCPS Buildings Benefit All Community Members

In addition to our students and teachers, we estimate millions of visits by students and community members to Fairfax County schools through more than 500,000 events. Most of the public meeting and recreational facilities available in the county are FCPS facilities.

FCPS works with the Fairfax County Department of Neighborhood and Community Services and with the Fairfax County Park Authority to ensure that school facilities and athletic fields are available to the public after school hours.

The 2025 Bond Referendum will be on the ballot in November. Vote on Tuesday, November 4. Learn more about registering to vote and make a voting plan.
