Volunteers Needed for the 2026 All Night Grad Party
We need your help!
We are forming a planning committee and need your help! Underclassman families are encouraged to participate and pay it forward.

Additionally, volunteers will be needed for the night of the event (6/4/26) - mark your calendar now!
Financial support is also appreciated. There will be two “no fuss” fundraisers this fall and spring.

Parent Volunteers Needed for Homecoming Dance
Parent volunteers are needed for the Woodson Homecoming Dance. Parents are needed to help chaperone the Outside Dance Area near door 7. Parents will monitor the perimeter of the outdoor area to ensure that students don’t access the area from the outside. In addition, we need a four parents to help run the coat check at the dance. Each job will have two shifts that run from 7:45-9:30 and 9:30-11:15. Please use the sign-up genius link to volunteer. Contact Dan Schaefer at djschaefer@fcps.edu with any questions.

Woodson Homecoming Parade Help Needed!
The SGA is looking for Jeeps, Convertibles and Trucks to drive participants in the Homecoming Parade this Friday. Donors receive a free homecoming ticket!

Woodson Library Community Service Opportunity
Student volunteer hours opportunity. Hats for Echo & some
The Woodson Library provides a valuable opportunity for your student to earn community service hours for the National Honor Society or other service learning programs.
Students can participate in creating hats or scarves for clothing donations to ECHO, a non-profit organization supporting families in need, or for SOME, a center in Washington, D.C. Students may also choose to crochet or knit hats if preferred. All supplies are provided.
Meetings are held on Late Bus days from 3 PM to 3:45PM in the Woodson Library. Students can also make hats/scarves at home if they cannot stay after school. See Mrs. Muir for more details on working from home.
For the service learning to continue, the Woodson Library is currently in need of the following items:
Loom kits: size 9.5 inches with a hook
Crochet hooks: Sizes G to J
Red Heart yearn, Weight #4 (please no white yarn)

Chorus Bake Sale at the Oct 17th Football Game!
We’re excited to announce that the Woodson Chorus will be hosting a Bake Sale at the October 17th football game (kickoff at 7 PM) next to the Band Concession stand on the Frost side of the home team bleachers. Help us raise funds to support our chorus program by stopping by to purchase some treats! Or you can join our baking efforts by signing up here.
The Woodson Chorus Tag Day, our biggest fundraiser of the year, continues virtually! Our community came together on Saturday to greet so many generous donors at their doors. We now would like to virtually knock to continue to enrich the community and improve the lives of our students. Thank you for your support and we hope to see you at our upcoming concerts!

Woodson Orchestra Present a Fall Masquerade October 23, 7pm
The Woodson Orchestra will be holding our Fall Masquerade Concert on October 23 at 7:00 pm at the Woodson Auditorium. We invite all our elementary school feeders to attend a spooky spectacular performance by the Frost and Woodson Orchestras. Students are encouraged to come dressed in their costumes. There will be TREATS!! After the performance concludes, we will be distributing candies at the cafeteria.

Save the dates for a world premiere, Texas-sized re-imagining of Molière's classic comedy! We've hauled the hypocritical con artist Tartuffe right into the heart of a mega-church in contemporary Texas to explore the intoxicating mix of hypocrisy and greed in a very public, very southern setting.
Get ready for:
- Big Hair, Big Personalities: Our characters are inspired by country and southern rock royalty—think June Carter and Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, and Elvis—but with a whole lot of passive-aggressive remarks.
