Students in the Kids Do Good Club assemble "socks of love" to help those in need.

After School Club News:

Update on Kids Do Good

Kids Do Good is back for the fall and the children have already started making an impact on our local community!

Students recently participated in two meaningful service projects:

  1. They created “Socks of Love” by filling cozy socks with toiletries, first aid items, and snacks to support those experiencing homelessness, and
  2. They assembled Power Packs for Food for Others to help ensure food-insecure children in Fairfax County have meals over the weekend.

Leftover items will be donated to the Katherine Hanley Family Shelter, continuing our school’s tradition of giving—last year, Willow Springs students contributed over 500 pounds of food through our Food Sharing Program.

Good job, students!!

You only need to complete and return the questionnaire if you are interested in receiving assistance to address the needs in your family.

Completed forms should be turned in to Ms. Prezioso, school social worker. If you have any questions about this form, please contact Ms. Prezioso, at afprezioso@fcps.edu or 703-679-6000.

💻 All Families Opted in to Lightspeed Student Online Activity Report

FCPS provides families with a free service that allows parents and caregivers a way to stay informed about their child's online activity on any FCPS device. Starting Sunday, October 12, all parents and guardians who have access to student records in SIS ParentVUE will be automatically enrolled to receive a weekly Lightspeed Student Online Activity Report.

This report provides a summary of the websites your child visited during the previous week and is delivered every Sunday to your email directly from Lightspeed, our internet content filter.

Each weekly report also includes a link to register for the Lightspeed Parent Portal, which provides more detailed browsing information. This portal also gives you the ability to pause internet access on your child’s FCPS laptop during non-school hours, such as dinner or bedtime.

Visit the Lightspeed Parent Report page for more information and answers to frequently asked questions.
