Message from Mrs. Castillo

Polo Day

We had a great week of learning at Lemon Road last week!  We began with our first SCA meeting of the year, held a bus evacuation drill, participated in Rocket Day and closed with our October Polo Day!  Thank you for all your support.

Many grades have field trips coming up - please be sure your child wears his/her Lemon Road polo for all field trips.  Polos serve as a way for us to visually keep track of all students and remind them that they represent Lemon Road when we are on the road.

In addition to Rocket Day - check out the Tower Garden growing in our STEAM loft and plans for our fall SWAP run by the Eco Defense Squad.

Have a great Indigenous People's Day tomorrow and we look forward to seeing your children back on Tuesday!

Rocket Day - STEAM in Action

Blast

Lemon Road’s Lions blasted off with Arm and Hammer Baking Soda rockets Thursday! Students learned about chemical reactions and used the engineering design process to create rocket designs of their own. From our littlest cubs to our biggest lions, everyone cheered on the rocket launches. It was an awesome launch day!  Thank you Katie Busch, STEAM Teacher for making this day a huge success.  Check out the video on our website
