PTA Updates for October 9th:
🌟Celebrating 5 Years of Leadership: Thank You, Principal Gadley!🌟
October is Principal Appreciation Month, and we have a major reason to celebrate at Dranesville Elementary: our phenomenal leader, Jamie Gadley, marks her 5th anniversary with our school community!
Over the past five years, Ms. Gadley has proven she can handle anything. She started her tenure during the COVID-19 pandemic, navigating unprecedented challenges with dedication and grace to keep our students learning and connected. She is now leading the school through a significant and complex construction project, ensuring that our students' needs are always the priority while building a brighter future for our campus. Most notably, her remarkable leadership was recognized last year when she was named FCPS Outstanding Principal of the Year for 2024!
Please join the PTA in celebrating Principal Gadley this month! If you see her, take a moment to thank her for her five years of exceptional service! We are so grateful for your leadership, Principal Gadley!
 This Saturday! Herndon Homecoming Parade DES needs your help to make our float a success!
How can you help?
- We need students and parents to help decorate the float Friday, October 10th. We'll be in the school parking lot at 6:30PM
- Walk in the parade on Saturday, October 11th at 9 AM. (We are spot #38 and arrival time is 8 AM)
- Participants are welcomed (and encouraged) to dress up. This year's float theme is: An Enchanted Storybook Forest Come to Life. Dress as your favorite book character.
- 6th graders who participate in the parade will be allowed to ride on the float.
 🍁It’s Almost Auction Time! Fun, Prizes, and Gratitude Ahead! Our Giving Thanks & Giving Back Silent Auction launches Monday, October 13th with special early release items! We can’t wait for you to join the fun! 🍂
This event is all about celebrating our amazing community — bidding, giving back, and showing what we’re thankful for. You’ll find all kinds of treasures: school experiences, theater nights, local gift cards, family fun, and more!

 ⚽ Join your fellow Dragons on October 25th as Loudoun United takes on North Carolina FC. This game is shaping up to be a big one — in a matchup that could decide who secures home-field advantage for the playoffs.
Dranesville has booked section 114 again! Don’t miss out - this event sold out last year!
A portion of every ticket purchased through this fundraiser will go directly back to support Dranesville Elementary.
