📚Family Literacy Night
The Literacy Team is hosting a Family Literacy Night for students in grades k-2 and their families on Thursday, October 23rd from 6:00-7:00 p.m. The adults will spend the first part of the evening in the cafeteria learning about our literacy block. You will hear about each component of literacy instruction our students receive each day! During this presentation, the students will spend time in a classroom enjoying a story. The evening will wrap up with families enjoying various literacy activities together. We look forward to traveling on this adventure with you.

🎃Pumpkins Still Needed!
Mosaic Elementary is planning a school-wide pumpkin decorating event and we need 45 pumpkins! We would like for these to be average sized pumpkins (about 10-12 inches in height). If you are able to purchase a pumpkin and bring it to Mosaic between October 20th and 22nd, it would be greatly appreciated! Please sign up to let us know if you are able to help.

Fairfax County Public Schools provides families a free service to help you stay informed about your child’s online activity.
Starting October 12, 2025, parents and caregivers will automatically receive a weekly Lightspeed Student Online Activity Report. This report provides a summary of the websites your child visited during the previous week and is delivered every Sunday to your email directly from Lightspeed, our internet content filter.
The email contains:
- Subject: Filter Portal Weekly Report
