CACFP At-Risk After-School Meal- Oct 13
Food and Nutrition Services is excited to offer "CACFP At-Risk After-School Meal-Eligible" meals on Monday, October 13, 2025.
This meal service will be available to all students aged 18 and under at Providence. Our goal is to ensure students have access to meals at no cost in a safe environment when school is not in session.
On October 13, we will serve both lunch and snack simultaneously from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on our serving lines. Please note the following important guidelines from the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE):
- Meals must be eaten on site
- Enrichment Activities must be provided (FNS will have self-guided activities available)
- However, participation in activities is not required,and students may leave as soon as they're done eating
- Meals may be provided only to those 18 years old and under
- Only 1 lunch and 1 snack may be provided per child

Fall referrals for Full-Time AAP screening are due October 15 (this is ONLY for students who are new to FCPS as of January 1, 2025 AND in grades 3-6). You can learn more about the AAP continuum of services offered at FCPS and find referral forms on the AAP website.
