As discussed the PTA has an exciting year of events planned and many opportunities for you to get involved. Whether you can contribute a few hours a month or take on a leadership role, your involvement makes a significant difference. Use the link to Volunteer Now!
Odyssey of the Mind (OM) is an unique creative problem-solving program. Teams of up to 7 students solve a long-term problem and present their solution, typically involving a performance, at a regional competition in March 2026. Teams who qualify uout of the regional tournament could move on to the Virginia State tournament in April and the World Finals in May!
OM emphasizes teamwork, creativity, perseverance, and having lots of fun. And most important, teams do it ALL themselves, facilitated by their coaches. Teams will begin meeting in late October/early November.

We’re starting a Garden Club and want students, parents, and teachers to join the fun! This year, we’ll be planting, weeding, and growing a beautiful school garden together.
Who: All K–6 students, plus parent and teacher volunteers What: A hands-on club to learn about gardening, nature, and making our school look great Why: To build gardening skills, help the environment, and make our school shine No experience needed!

Volunteers needed to help ensure the route is blocked off and safe for the kids to get to the school. The starting point will be the New Life Church on Trin Street. We will need people on Old Rolling Road, Brookland Road and Westchester Street. See the signup here Volunteer Signup!
