The Clearview Community Connect

Stronger Together

Dear Clearview Families,

The first day of fall, also known as the autumnal equinox arrives on Monday, September 22 at 2:19 PM EST. As the leaves begin to turn and the air grows crisp, we encourage you to continue engaging with us on a regular basis. We are available to connect in person (throughout the school day and at school events), virtually, over the phone, and via Talking Points. Other ways to engage with us are by volunteering and/or visiting the Clearview Facebook page, Instagram account, or website.

Would you like to recognize someone from our school who goes above and beyond? Submit a nomination to FCPS Cares.

We hope to see you tonight at Herndon High School!

If you are a military family and you haven’t heard from Mrs. Sefa by Tuesday 4 PM, please contact her. Please contact Nalei Meneses, Student Information Assistant, if you would like to update your status in SIS.

Clearview’s Preschool Team

Preschool

The Clearview Early Childhood Team is a collaborative and inclusive teaching unit that serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years old via 4 distinct programs. Our general education programs are the Early Head Start (ages 6 weeks to 3 years) and Pre-K Head Start.  Our special education programs include the Early Childhood Class Based Program (ECCB) and the Preschool Autism Program (PAC).  We pride ourselves on whole team collaboration with the goal of making informed decisions regarding our students' diverse needs in the most appropriate (least restrictive) environment.

Our mission is to educate our community about child development, emphasize the importance of early intervention, and identify children with potential disabilities who require support to access their education. We build positive relationships to enhance children’s social emotional learning and support instruction using developmentally appropriate best practices in early childhood. We value collaboration and input with families to achieve the same common goal of success in school.

Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow!

The beginning of the school year is the best time to develop strong attendance habits! Students who attend school regularly are more likely to perform well in reading and math, develop strong social and emotional skills, and graduate from high school on time. Help prepare your child for future success. Visit FCPS’ Attendance web page for tips and strategies.

Rosh Hashanah

Shanah tovah to our Jewish community celebrating Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year! Meaning “head of the year,” Rosh Hashanah is one of Judaism’s holiest days and marks the beginning of the Days of Awe, a 10-day period of introspection that ends with Yom Kippur.

Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown on Monday, September 22. That day is an evening-only observance day. Important events will not be held after school.

Tuesday, September 23, is a holiday for all FCPS students and staff. Schools and offices will be closed.
