 Hello Mustangs,
It has been a busy and exciting time at South County Middle School. We are in the process of delivering diagnostic assessments (iReady, VALLSS, and MAP) and really getting into the routines of school. Additionally, please speak with your student(s) about the SR&R lessons we recently delivered. While we mention our expectations every day, we are seeing some of our students make different decisions. Also, there is a home football game at South County High School tonight. Please keep in mind that you will need to attend the game with your student if your student is going. Lastly, we dismissed D Lunch a little early today due to a medical emergency. Everyone did an excellent job transitioning to their classrooms and thoroughly enjoyed the remainder of the day. As always, thank you for all that you do for our school community, and please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, feedback, or concerns. We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday!

Participate in an Upcoming Community Boundary Review Meeting
As a reminder, FCPS will hold two sets of community boundary review meetings this fall — one in September and another in October. Each set of meetings will focus on two pyramids per meeting.
All September meetings will include an overview of where FCPS is in the comprehensive boundary review process, an update and opportunity for feedback on school start times, how community input is informing the process, and next steps in the boundary review process.
The meeting for our pyramid will be held Thursday, September 25, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., at South County High School (In Person or Virtual)
- For South County and Hayfield Pyramids
Please register by clicking “in person” or “virtual,” depending on how you would like to participate.
Child care for in-person participants and language interpretation/translation for all participants will be available as needed.
