Farewell to Mr. Bruce Morrow

Mr. Morrow

Mr. Bruce Morrow’s dedication and hard work have left a lasting mark on our program.  From his commitment to building Lucky Lot 13 to his extensive efforts on Lot 14 with hierarchical piers, his impact on our students and projects has been significant. His passion for carpentry and for teaching has inspired many, and his contributions will be remembered for years to come. While he will be missed at Edison Academy and at Spring Village Estates, we are excited for him as he takes on this new opportunity as a full-time Carpentry teacher at Chantilly Academy.

Reminders

Academy Resources

Cell Phones Off, Learning On

Thank you for helping to support the FCPS cell phone policy by waiting to call or text your child about non-urgent matters until the school day is over. In case of an emergency, it is always best to contact our academy office at 703-924-8100 to reach your child during class time.

Visit the FCPS Cell Phone Policy webpage to read more about usage policies by grade level and to share your feedback on the current cell phone policy.

Lanyards

All students who attend Edison Academy, that are not Edison High School students, received an Edison Academy lanyard. It is expected that all feeder Academy students wear their lanyards when entering the building to speed along the entry process with the new weapons detection. Moving forward, if your student needs a replacement lanyard there will be a $5.00 fee.

Weapon Detection System Reminders

Our weapons detection screening is up and running. Use the graphic as a reminder of what should be removed from your bag and what can stay in before going through the Open Gate screener. Learn more on the weapons detection frequently asked questions page
