Centreville Students, Families, and Community,
It was another incredible week in the Wildcat Nation!
During my presentation to the PTSA on Wednesday night, I shared the three core priorities for Centreville High School: high-quality instruction, a positive school climate, and getting better, together. This week, I was able to see these priorities in action.
In classrooms, I saw students deeply engaged, not only with the content, but with one another. Whether they were helping each other with dimensional analysis in Chemistry or creating pottery in 3D Art, our students and staff continue to show a strong commitment to learning.
Outside the classroom, I had the opportunity to celebrate the passions and talents of our students through a variety of activities. We honored our Field Hockey seniors, our 12th Man showed up to cheer on a dominant football win over Yorktown, and I ended the week by participating in my first runway show with our Classroom on the Mall students!
Each week, I’m inspired by the incredible talent of our students, and just as importantly, by the way our community comes together to support one another!
Looking forward, our “Midnight in Paris” Homecoming is around the corner! Tickets for the dance are currently on sale on MySchoolBucks for $25 between now and September 25th. Tickets must be picked up (or purchased) at lunch from September 22-26. Parent volunteers are needed for the dance. Please sign up for a shift here to come enjoy the night with us!
Thank you and Go Wildcats!

School Bond Referendum on Ballot Tuesday, November 4: The $460 million School Bond Referendum — supporting the division and county’s commitment to providing safe and welcoming learning environments for all students — will be on the Tuesday, November 4, general election ballot. The funding provided by voter-approved bonds is expected to fund projects identified in the FY 2026-30 Capital Improvement Program, which was approved by the School Board in February. A portion of 2025’s $460 million bond referendum is expected to fund renovations at our school. Learn more at fcps.edu/Bond2025.
The building and renovation of our schools is not funded through the division’s operating budget. Voter-approved bonds allow payment for these projects over time.
