Please login to your MySchoolBucks account as soon as possible to pay your class fee.
If you are approved for Free and Reduced-Price Meals (FRM), please submit a copy of your FRM approval letter from Food and Nutrition Services dated July 1, 2025 or later and a completed copy of the Consent to Share Form to your Academy teacher.
The Fairfax County Police Department's Helicopter Unit made a special landing at Chantilly Academy this week. Criminal Justice students had the opportunity to check out Fairfax 1, a Bell 429 helicopter used by the FCPD Helicopter Unit, and learn how the FCPD uses their helicopters to enhance public safety and welfare. Officers spoke to students about how these helicopters support the police department including search and rescue, medevac, and pursuit of suspects.
Guest speakers are frequently invited to Chantilly Academy to share their experiences from industry to enhance student learning. Through these interactive presentations by industry professionals, students can connect the concepts they learn in the classroom to the real world.  Students in our Teachers for Tomorrow class had some fun working together to build structures this week - but there was a catch! Group members could not speak or write to communicate with each other. This activity demonstrated how important it is for teachers to consider various ways to communicate with their students including using pictures/symbols and non-verbal gestures.
 Dental Careers students spent time in the lab learning to use the amalgamator to mix amalgams for tooth fillings.
 Cosmetology students experimented with a variety of braiding techniques to create different looks including a French braid, fishtail braid, and bubble braid.
 Fridays mean PT in Air Force JROTC! Every Friday, our Cadets engage in a variety of physical activities ranging from physical fitness assessments to ultimate frisbee, as pictured here.
