Dear Clermont Families,
Please join me in congratulating our music teacher, Mrs. Sarah Sullivan, on the birth of her son, Parker! While Mrs. Sullivan is on maternity leave, we have secured a wonderful substitute to take over teaching music class, Ms. Nicole Duchaine. Ms. Duchaine worked alongside Mrs. Sullivan during the first week of the school year and is familiar with the children and the general music program. A note from Ms. Duchaine:
My name is Ms. Duchaine, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be a Clermont Eagle. I grew up as a military child and have lived in a couple different states. I was born in Upstate New York and moved to Virginia in 2017. So far, this has been my favorite place to live! I love learning about the history of the area, as well as being able to visit D.C. and touring the museums and monuments.

I graduated from George Mason University with a BM in Music Education. I have always loved music and teaching since I was a child, and the decision to pursue my degree was easy. I plan on going back for an advanced music degree in the future!
To make the transition easier for the students during my time at Clermont Elementary, I was able to shadow the amazing Mrs. Sullivan to make sure I understood her classroom procedures and the ways I can keep her awesome energy alive in the classroom. I am super excited to start!

Mrs. Van Buren came to us last week from Stratford Landing Elementary School, and is part of our kindergarten team. She is an experienced instructional assistant, and is currently working with our youngest Eagles...Welcome Mrs. Van Buren!
