Wednesday, September 17th, will be our 1st Early Release Wednesday for teacher planning.

Students will be dismissed at 12:25pm.  SACC will be open for afternoon SACC students and will close at their regular scheduled time.  Students of families that have made arrangements for after school child care provided by Providence, will be dismissed at 3:25pm.

Everything You Need to Do Through SIS ParentVUE

Don’t forget your back-to-school forms and checklists! Make sure you have a SIS ParentVUE account for your family and log in to find important forms and updates. 

If you do not have a ParentVUE account, contact your child’s school for an activation code and follow the directions on the SIS ParentVUE Account webpage. 

Complete Permission Forms Today
Families can easily grant permission for their children to access a variety of school resources through the Parent Digital Consent system. Opt your child in or out of online educational tools and choose how student information is managed.

FCPS has changed its policy for parent volunteers! If you'd like to volunteer for any school activity, including:

• Chaperoning field trips
• Mentoring
• Helping in the cafeteria or classroom
• Assisting with events like Field Day, Turkey Trot, or Picture Day

                                         you must register with FCPS.

Creating your profile only takes a few minutes, but the application can take 1-2 weeks to process. Don't delay—register today so you'll be ready to help when you're needed!

Dear Families, 

We want your child to be successful in school and that means supporting and encouraging their whole development. While excelling in academic classes is important, children also need skills to take on learning challenges, make good decisions, manage strong emotions, and get along with others. 

At Providence, we will soon begin teaching Second Step® Elementary, a research-based social-emotional learning program designed to improve children’s social-emotional skills. Second Step skills and concepts are designed to help children both in and out of school. Four units will cover the following: Growth Mindset & Goal-Setting, Emotion Management, Empathy and Kindness, and Problem Solving.

To help you reinforce the language and skills your child is learning, you’ll receive weekly information from their Second Step teacher. It will include the key concepts for that week and a discussion question that prompts students to practice or talk about the week’s skills with you at home.
