A Message from the Camelot PTA

Dear Camelot Families,

Welcome back! We hope you and your kids have had a fantastic start to the new school year. We are so excited to see you at Back to School Night tomorrow, where we can officially kick off the year together.

The PTA’s mission is to help every child reach their full potential, and we do that by bringing our community together through fun events, sponsoring field trips, and even providing every student with a book. We'll have a PTA table near the front door tomorrow, and we hope you'll stop by to say hello and introduce yourself! Whether you're a new family or a familiar face, we can't wait to partner with you to keep Camelot vibrant for our kids and teachers.

How to Get Involved: Your Time Makes All the Difference!

The success of our school is a true team effort, and we have many opportunities for you to get involved. Whether you have just one hour a week or year, or are looking for a bigger role, your time and talent are invaluable. We are currently looking for volunteers to lead these key initiatives:

  • Spirit Wear Coordinator: Lead the design, ordering, and sale of our school's spirit wear, helping everyone show their Camelot pride.
  • Fall Festival Entry Co-Chair: Manage ticket sales and ensure a smooth, welcoming entry for all families at our biggest fall event.
  • Fall Festival Volunteer Co-Chair: Recruit, schedule, and manage the team of volunteers who make the Fall Festival a huge success.
  • Family Night Chair: Organize our February potluck, bringing families together to share a meal and build community.
  • Reflections Chair: Promote the Reflections program, manage student art submissions in various categories, and coordinate the judging process to celebrate the artistic achievements of our students.
  • Faculty Fairies Co-Chair: A relaxed, low-pressure way to show appreciation for our teachers and staff by collecting treat and coffee donations and tidying the lounge and restocking treats.
  • Teacher Appreciation Week Co-Chair: Plan a week of special events and gifts to recognize the hard work of our amazing staff.
  • Camelot Facebook/Givebacks Designer: Update and refresh our Facebook and Giveback pages so that we can continue sharing important announcements, promoting events, and celebrating our school community to keep everyone connected and informed.

Do you have another idea, like leading an Odyssey of the Mind team or a Spelling Bee or a School Play? We’d love to hear it! Please stop by our table at Back to School Night to learn more about these opportunities and find the perfect fit for you. If you are interested in any of the volunteer positions, please contact Maggie Franke at presidentcamelotpta@gmail.com or any board member. We can’t wait to partner with you!

A huge thank you to the wonderful volunteers who have already stepped up to lead this year! Carrie Stegelmeyer is coordinating our monthly Restaurant Nights; Madeline Furlong is planning and coordinating our After-School Enrichment Programs; Dana Khan is our Room Parent Coordinator and a Co-Chair for Teacher Appreciation Week; and Melissa Biedenback is leading our Camelot Food Pantry.

Mark Your Calendars! Fun Run is October 24th!
