 The Lemon Road Staff had an excellent week and we loved seeing so many of our families at Open House and the Welcome Back Social & Snacks. We are ready and excited to welcome our students tomorrow morning! Here are a few reminders to make our first day go smoothly.
Arrival:
Students may enter school between 8:05 - 8:15. All students should be in their class by 8:15 daily. On the 1st day of school parents are welcome to walk their children to their classrooms. After dropping off your child in their classroom, visit the PTA in the cafeteria!
Snack:
All students may bring a snack from home to eat during the day. Healthy items that are individually packaged and require no utensils are ideal. We do not allow children to eat candy, drink soda, drink coffee/caffeinated drinks, or share snacks other than Freaky Fridays.
Dismissal:
Walkers and bike riders will be dismissed to Door 1 at 2:55 for dismissal. Children meeting their parents at Kiss & Ride will come out Doors 6 & 7. Parents, please wait in your vehicles and allow children to enter and buckle independently.
Be patient with bus transportation the first few weeks of school. As the bus drivers learn their routes and riders, the morning and afternoon arrival times will normalize and be on time.

- Be sure your child brings a labeled backpack, water bottle, and lunch box (unless purchasing lunch) to school.
- 5th or 6th graders interested in serving as a patrol should check in with Mr. Hickman or Mr. Van Trees.
- Add money to your child's lunch account through MySchoolBucks - this is also where families will pay for field trips, instruments, or other individual fees.
- As you are out shopping, pick up a case of sparkling water or soda or individually wrapped snacks to support staff for afterschool meetings and required professional development! Drop donations off in the office.

- Update your child's information for us as soon as possible by clicking this link: SIS ParentVUE Online Verification/Update (OVU) Packet
- Provide consent for your child to access some digital resources used at school through the Parent Digital Consent System to include Early Release Wednesday Childcare.
- If you have a 3 or 4 year old child interested in participating in our afternoon preschool classroom as a community peer, email Jess Phelps at jmphelps@fcps.edu
- Parents/guardians of children with food allergies or dietary restrictions must have this form completed by their physician and sent according to the instructions.
- Contact the Lemon Road office if your family needs assistance with school supplies at lresfrontoffice@fcps.edu.

- Join us for our first community event of the year - our annual Tears & Cheers Breakfast held in the school cafeteria at 8:15 tomorrow. Coffee and donuts will be provided by the PTA (while they last!)
- We kick off each year with our Armchair Fundraiser - one of the easiest ways to support the PTA. Click to donate from the comfort of your home! Join us in helping cover the "rainbow of needs" to help fund buses for field trips, student scholarships, teacher material reimbursement, updates to technology & instructional materials throughout the school!
