Ms. Burd and Ms. Jones greet one of their students during our Annual Welcome Walk!
Dear Wildcats,
Our halls were buzzing this week with excitement as we prepared for your return on Monday! Our teachers are excited and we hope you are too! Thank you to all of the families who joined us for Open House and for warmly opening your doors during our annual Welcome Walk Event. We also want to extend our gratitude to the PTA and many families who contributed to our Staff Kick-Off Breakfast on Monday. Please be sure to review the first day letter that was sent earlier this week via email. We can't wait to see everyone on Monday at 9:05!

4th Grade here we come!
First Day Reminders
First Day at Woodburn
It is important that students begin the routine of walking to their classroom independently on the first day of school. As we know, there are a lot of different feelings on the first day. Staff will be available to support any student who may need a buddy to walk with them to class. We ask that families give their hugs and goodbyes outside in front of the school and wave to their student as they walk through door 1! Thank you for your support with this.
School Hours and Transportation:
-
9:20 a.m. – 4:05 p.m. Monday through Friday. Students are to be in class, ready to learn by 9:20 a.m.
- Walkers and car riders may arrive at school starting at 9:05 a.m. Woodburn staff is not available to supervise students before this time.
- Dismissal begins at 4:05 p.m.
- Afternoon Kiss and Ride families should display their car tag on the rearview mirror. Families who do not have a car tag can pick one up at Open House or on the first day of school. If you have a tag that you are no longer using, please return to Woodburn for us to assign to a new family.
Students are highly encouraged to take their normal way to school on Monday morning!
Dismissal Changes
Should a dismissal change be needed, please contact the main office prior to 3:30. We will not be able to honor requests that are made after this time.
