We are extremely excited about our Open House events over the next two days and look forward to welcoming our students to a new year. We've included some important items for your review and completion below.
I would also like to note that due to election day on September 9, the new Back To School Night for grades K-3 and EAC is September 8.
Finally, the FCPS calendar provided is unique to the Oakton Pyramid and may be worth printing out! We're all in this together and look forward to partnering with you to Make It Happen!

As summer winds down, we are looking forward to welcoming students back to our classrooms. Please review this checklist to make sure your child is ready!
There are three major places we need parents to update/fill out information
1️⃣ SIS ParentVUE - Login
2️⃣ Parent Digital Consent System (PDC) - Login
- Access the PDC using your SIS ParentVue login information.
- Please review the required and optional forms.

Required: 📢 Digital Consent: Teachers will use a variety of digital resources to help students learn during the current school year. These digital resources have been checked and approved by Fairfax County Public Schools. Please provide your consent for your student to use these resources through the Parent Digital Consent System.
3️⃣ Three Hour Early Release
- We must collect every students early release plan. Please fill out the Google Form, indicating your plans. Although responses can also be tracked in the PDC, there are limitations and we are not using it to track Navy's Early Release plans. Reminder, students should only stay late on these days if there is a child care hardship.

Here Comes the Bus
- Know when your bus is approaching your stop. Here Comes the Bus app is a school bus tracing app that can simplify morning and afternoon routines for parents and students by giving them real-time bus location and text or email notification alerts, helping them to get to the bus stop on time. Find out more.
My School Bucks

My School Bucks is an online payment service that provides a quick and easy way to pay for school-related purchases. You will be able to pay for a variety of school fees, including field trips, meals, and using credit/debit cards or electronic checks.
- Parents/caregivers need to provide their students with money to purchase meals at school, send them with a packed lunch, or apply (and be approved) for free and reduced-price meal benefits.

Starting this school year, students will enter their student ID number — not their current cafeteria PIN — at the cash register to receive school meals. Please remind your child of their student ID number, which you can find in SIS ParentVUE. View more updates and reminders for school meals this year.
