Highlight: Our Past Successes

Your PTSA is energized for another great school year! In the 2024-2025 school year we allocated mini grants that enabled students to build a working garden, create an arcade, learn about cultures in our community, and attend experiences that taught about career development and brought our community closer together. We also hosted our first ever Spring Fling dance! We were able to provide our teachers and staff with appreciation events and gifts. We fostered community on Thomas Edison's birthday. We threw an awesome All Night Grad Party for the class of 2025. With your help we can do more this year! Join your PTSA today: https://edisonhsptsa.givebacks.com/shop

Meet Our Board

Rob Virden

Rob Virden - Treasurer

After volunteering at the 2024 All Night Grad Party, I wanted to get more involved and bring my experience as Treasurer for other non-profits to Edison. I have two kids—one a recent IB graduate and one a rising sophomore—and saw this as a great way to stay connected to school life. Outside the PTSA, I work in IT Financial Management and enjoy exploring the local museums, sporting events, and live concerts with my family after moving here from New Mexico six years ago.

Heather Herbert (Binetti) - Secretary

I'm the proud mom of a Senior and a Sophomore at Edison. We’ve been part of the Kingstowne community since 2017. After serving 23 years in the Army, we decided to put down roots here. I followed my passion by starting my own travel agency. Now I’m excited to jump in and help out with the PTSA! I truly believe the high school years fly by, and I want to help make them fun and memorable for all our kids. It takes a village, so let’s work together to make the Edison community the best in Northern Virginia. Looking forward to meeting and teaming up with many of you!

Olivia Torrico - VP Membership

I'm an accountant and work for a top 10 CPA firm. Outside of work and volunteering for the Edison PTSA, I enjoy reading, dancing and attending concerts. I also volunteer at my church assisting with religious education and at their community events. I have 2 daughters, both attending Edison as a freshman and senior. I look forward to supporting our Edison community with an amazing PTSA team. I am excited about being able to grow our membership and meeting teachers, parents and students along the way.

I am also a High Impact Tutor at Washington Mill Elementary School. I love reading, gardening, and crafting. I am excited to meet you and support this amazing community together.

Corea Smith - Co-Chair All Night Grad Party

I am the mom of a sophomore and junior at Edison and a freshman in college who just graduated from Edison this past May. I am active duty Air Force and my husband works as a civilian after retiring a few years ago from the Air Force. We have been in the area for a few years now. I enjoy spending time with family and watching my kids participate in sports and other activities in our school and community. Being part of the PTSA is important to me. It’s a way to connect with my kids and to help make our school great. I look forward to meeting you and working with you as we plan and host our next All Night Grad Party. Come join us!

Tracie Clemmer - Chair of Teacher Appreciation Events

Greetings fellow parents! Our son is a Senior at EHS. I work for a non-profit centered on urban revitalization. I enjoy being outdoors and find joy in connecting people. Getting involved in the PTSA allowed me to see first hand how hard the ESH team works every day and it has been a pleasure to provide little pick-me-ups throughout the years to show our appreciation to teachers and staff. I hope you'll join me this year so the traditions we've created live on!
