Message from the PTSA President
Hello Fairfax High School Families, Teachers, and Staff,
I hope everyone has had a great start to the school year! As we start off week three, everyone is probably settling in and adapting to the new routine. I am excited (and nervous) to be joining the PTSA as President. I come into this role with a lot of enthusiasm for what the PTSA does for FHS. Just a few things we do range from Academic Boosters, Teacher Appreciation, Grants for Teachers, Awards for FHS Senior Volunteers, All Night Grad (ANG), and more. We are open to new possibilities as well, but we can’t do any of it without your support! There are many ways in which you can help us help FHS PTSA ~ by joining our board or membership, participating in and/or donating to a committee, donating to our “No Fuss Fundraiser,” or, of course, volunteering to help out at our events. As a working parent with students involved in activities, I am aware of the demand on your time, so any way you are able to contribute will be greatly appreciated!!
Right now we are in need of two key roles: Treasurer and ANG Chair. Please see below for more info on these important positions.
This Thursday we will have Back to School Night! The PTSA will have a table and will be ready to answer questions and discuss how you can support the FHS PTSA! Or you can come to our first meeting on Tuesday, September 16 at 7pm in the Career Center L106. We will be voting on the budget and discussing the year ahead.

JOIN the PTSA!
JOIN the PTSA to support our FHS teachers, students, and community! Your member dues and donations work to fund all of our activities and programs, help keep you engaged and informed about what is happening in our school community and provide opportunities to get involved if your time permits.
Parent/Adult: $20, Teacher/Staff: $12, FHS Student: $8.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our previously elected Treasurer had to step down. The Treasurer is a key and required part of the PTSA Executive Board, so this creates a critical need for someone to step up!!
The Treasurer manages all PTSA funds, maintains accurate financial records, presents financial reports at meetings, and ensures timely submission of financial forms to the Virginia PTA and IRS.

Class of 2026 All Night Grad Needs YOU!! |
All Night Grad (ANG) is one of the most exciting traditions at Fairfax High School — a safe, fun, and unforgettable night for our seniors to celebrate with their classmates. Held at a local off-campus venue, this late-night event runs from graduation night until the early morning hours, packed with games, prizes, music, food, and more!
But here’s the thing — we can’t make this night happen without YOU.
ANG takes a dedicated team of volunteers to plan, organize, and staff the event. Ideally, a Committee Chair is in place before the school year ends — but we still need someone to step up! Planning must begin ASAP to keep this event on track.
Without a Committee Chair, this beloved tradition will not happen!
We’re calling on Senior Parents to help lead the charge — let’s create one last magical memory for our graduates. Parents of underclassmen are welcome to help too! The more hands, the better.

Support our FHS Students and Teachers with your generous donations! Our No Fuss Fundraiser has a goal of $2250 to fully fund the proposed 25-25 PTSA budget. The Parent, Teacher, and Student Association supports FHS students and teachers through financing events and supporting diversity and volunteerism. The PTSA rewards academic achievement, offers student scholarships, funds classroom grants, puts on teacher appreciation events, and supports the FHS Food Bank. We rely entirely on membership dues and donations to fund the PTSA budget, and as a 501(c)3, your donation is tax-deductible. No Fuss Fundraiser
