Dear Virginia Run Community,
I am thrilled to announce that Jessica Green will be joining Virginia Run Elementary School as our new assistant principal, working alongside Ms. Arreaza and me.
Jessica comes to us with a wealth of experience as an assistant principal in both Fairfax and Loudoun County Public Schools, as well as an extensive background in special education and student behavior support. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from George Mason University and a Master’s degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University.
Throughout the interview process, Jessica stood out for her deep commitment to inclusion, her strong knowledge of instructional leadership, and her ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families. Our panel described her as resilient, knowledgeable, and deeply relationship-driven—someone who prioritizes connection, community, and student success. Jessica’s expertise in behavior intervention, her familiarity with social-emotional programs, and her ability to engage with diverse communities make her an incredible addition to our leadership team.
Jessica is excited to be part of the Virginia Run family, and I know you will join me in warmly welcoming her to our school community.
