Welcome Back to Island Creek Staff!
The amazing staff at Island Creek is getting ready for another wonderful school year!
Teachers spend the week of August 11th preparing their classrooms and attending professional development trainings.
We are hoping to welcome back staff with a continental breakfast on Monday, August 11, and fill the staff lounge with snacks and drinks.
If you are able to donate food items, please access this link.
Thank you for your support!
Calling all rising 6th graders! Join us for a special lunch with the Island Creek Admin Team on Thursday, August 7th from 11:30am – 1:00pm. We'll enjoy pizza, get to know each other, and talk about students' hopes and dreams for their final year at Isalnd Creek!
Please complete this Google Form no later than Tuesday, August 5, if your 6th Grade student will attend.
This event is only for 6th Grade Students.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, eating breakfast at school is associated with better attendance rates, fewer missed school days, and better test scores. Students who qualify for free and reduced-price meals receive breakfast and lunch at school at no cost.
Families must complete the Free and Reduced-Price Meal application before the start of each school year. Approved applications may also qualify students for additional benefits. Access the application and view criteria on the Free and Reduced-Price Meals webpage
Students who were approved for free and reduced-price meals last year are eligible for the first 30 days of school this year (or until a new application is processed). Families should re-apply as soon as possible so eligible students continue to receive meals at no cost.
Parents/Guardians will receive an email with your child's classroom teacher assignment after 4:30 PM on Monday, August 11. We are still registering students, so we cannot finalize class rosters until then.
At Island Creek, our teachers work together in Collaborative Learning Teams (CLTs) throughout the school year. This means teachers at every grade level collaborate to support all students' academic and social-emotional growth. All of our teachers are highly qualified and were chosen for the Island Creek staff because they meet the high standards and expectations of our community. We appreciate your support for our talented teachers!
