Dear Dogwood Families,
Welcome back to Dogwood Elementary! A new school year means new opportunities for our Dragons to learn, grow, and shine. We are thrilled to continue partnering with you to build a welcoming community where every child is known, valued, and challenged to reach their fullest potential. Together, we are setting the stage for an incredible year of success!
This year, breakfast will look a little different. Our doors will open at 8:35 AM, and breakfast will now be “grab and go.” Students will pick up their breakfast as they enter the building and eat in their classrooms. Please remember that students should not be dropped off before 8:35 AM, as there will be no adult supervision available. The late bell rings at 8:50 AM, and arriving on time is essential. When students start the day with their classmates, they feel connected, prepared, and ready to learn right from the first moment.
While we are unable to do individual Dogwood visits at homes this year due to contractual obligations, we are excited to invite you to join us for one of our Pop-in Popsicles events! These events are a great way to visit the school, meet our amazing staff, and enjoy a sweet treat together before we kick off the year. Please see the details below for details.

Popsicle Pop-Ins
Come beat the heat and meet the Dogwood staff! We're hosting several Popsicles with the Staff events for students to come say hello before the school year begins.
Grades 1-6:
- August 12th from 3:30 - 4:30 PM at South Gate Community Center
- August 14th from 3:30 - 4:30 PM at the Grey Wing apartments picnic area
Kindergarten:
- August 13th from 4:00 - 5:00 PM at the Dogwood Elementary School playground

Open House
Friday, August 15th
We can't wait to see you at our annual Open House! Join us on Friday, August 15th to meet your teachers and get a sneak peek at your new classroom.
Kindergarten students are invited from 1:00 - 2:30 PM, and students in grades 1-6 are welcome to attend from 1:30 - 2:30 PM.
