Summer has begun! Construction began this week to create a new entrance to our library and install a second set of doors in our vestibule. The image above shows the current entrance to our library. The doors and glass cabinets are gone. It will be closed completely, and a new entrance is being constructed from the big hallway across from the cafeteria.

Summer 2025
A Message from Ms. Consolla
Happy First Day of Summer! Classrooms are packed up, and teachers have left for their summer break. Except for the sounds of construction (see photo above), Fort Hunt is a very quiet place. Thank you to the 15 parents who joined me on Monday to discuss ways to we can set up ways for volunteers to support the important work here. Next steps include creating procedures and expectations. Stay tuned for important updates.
Our office will have limited hours through July. We'll be open 9am-12noon. The construction in the front entrance area will take another couple of weeks. If we need to block the entrance, we'll post directions about where to enter.
As always, thank you for your partnership with us in your child's education at Fort Hunt. Have a safe and relaxing summer!

Your Partners in Education
We are honored to work with your family this year and will work everyday to ensure a safe and positive learning environment for your child. We can't do it alone. Please contact us when there is a question or concern, especially related to bullying. As a parent, you will often hear about something before staff might. Thank you for all your support.
