🎈 FCPS CARES Winner Connects Beyond Academics
 FCPS CARES allows parents/caregivers, staff, and community members to recognize employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. Among the CARES of the Month recipients is Deer Park Elementary School Kindergarten Teacher Laura Muscar, pictured between Principal Bob D'Amato, and Assistant Principal Heather Hitz.
“We have been consistently impressed by her dedication, passion, and ability to create a truly engaging and supportive learning environment,” wrote a parent. “She takes the time to connect with her students, getting to know them beyond academics. [My son] has blossomed into a skillful reader, writer, and mathematician under her guidance. He frequently comes home excited to share what he has learned and often expresses a desire to email Mrs. Muscar over the weekend to share his experiences and how they connect to his learning.”
We are so proud of you, Mrs. Muscar! Congratulations!
Limited Early Release Wednesdays for 2025-26 School Year
Elementary school students will be released three hours early at 12:25 p.m. on eight Wednesdays during the 2025-26 school year.

School Supplies
Order your supply kit here today!
It's not too late, save yourself the frustration of multiple trips to the store by buying a complete school supply kit for your student. Each kit has a complete set of supplies and FREE delivery to Deer Park!
Each kit is packed in a drawstring bag and includes all the supplies your student will need - including brand names such as Elmer’s, Crayola and Expo.
Supply kits will be in your child's classroom by Open House on August 14th.
