A Message from the Principal
Dear Ravensworth Families,
As we reach the end of another wonderful school year, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your incredible partnership and support. It's truly been a year filled with learning, growth, and countless memorable moments for our students and staff.
This year, our school community truly shone through events that brought us all closer. From the spirited Run for Ravensworth, where our students ran their hearts out, to the concerts that showcased our young musicians' talents. Our PTA Fun Fridays were always a hit, filled with laughter and joy. Our first Literacy Glow Night lit up faces with a love for reading. The innovation and excitement at STEAM Night were inspiring, proving that our students are future leaders and innovators. These gatherings are truly what make Ravensworth such a special place to learn and grow.
Our students and staff have truly excelled this year, achieving significant milestones. Our dedicated team successfully implemented a new reading curriculum that has transformed how our students engage with reading and writing across all grade levels. We also embraced new math standards, and I am incredibly proud of how our students have risen to the challenge, demonstrating remarkable progress in their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. These advancements are a direct result of the hard work and commitment of our exceptional teachers and the tireless effort of every single student.
The dedication and achievements of our staff have been nothing short of extraordinary. They consistently go above and beyond to create a nurturing and challenging environment where every child can thrive. And to our amazing students, your curiosity, resilience, and enthusiasm inspire us every single day. You've worked incredibly hard, learned so much, and made us all immensely proud.
Wishing you all a safe, restful, and fun-filled summer! We can't wait to welcome you back for another exciting year in August.
Sincerely,
Erika Aspuria
Principal

Summer Reading Adventures

Fairfax County Public Libraries’ Summer Reading Adventure link is now live here. This program is for children, teens, and adults and runs from June 11-August 17, 2025. We enjoyed our visit from Kings Park Public Library on Tuesday, June 3rd! They shared all about their summer reading program, free activities they have planned throughout the summer, and great books they have on display right now for the summer.
Through the library’s LEAP (Library Equity Access Pass) program, all FCPS students can check out 3 books at a time by just telling the librarian their name and that they attended an FCPS school. If you have a library card, you can check out 50 items at a time! If you need information about how to get a library card, you can read all the details here.
If you have questions, please contact our librarian, Mrs. Sloan (jasloan@fcps.edu) or visit your nearest Fairfax County Public Library Branch.

Items from Ravensworth's lost and found are going to be donated to charity. Prior to donation, parents and guardians may check for items belonging to their children.
