Dear Springfield Estates Families,
As we wrap up this school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued partnership and support. Together, we’ve created another memorable and meaningful year at Springfield Estates Elementary—one filled with learning, growth, and connection.
Our Eagles have continued to SOAR in every sense of the word. Academically, students embraced new challenges and made impressive progress. We celebrated the exit of 29 students from English Language Development (ELD) services, an exciting achievement that speaks to their hard work and resilience. Across the school, students engaged in enriching programs like Continental Math League, WordMasters, Area Band, Area Strings, and the Stock Market Game, showcasing their problem-solving skills and creativity.
We honored student success and leadership throughout the year with awards such as the Rising Feather Award, Golden Eagle Award, and Super Soaring Eagle Award—each recognizing students who exemplify our school’s values in unique ways. Leadership programs like Safety Patrols, Student Council Association (SCA), the MLL Leaders Club, and Book Buddies helped our students build responsibility, confidence, and a strong sense of community.
Students also met and exceeded academic goals, including solving over 969,000 puzzles in ST Math—with more than 75% reaching the 1,000-puzzle milestone. Classes led by Ms. Rice, Ms. Bognar, Ms. Staples, and Ms. Wines reached 100% participation in this challenge. Our school community gathered for many joyful events, including Heritage Night, field trips, concerts, and our first-ever “SEES the Year” blacktop celebration.
Most importantly, we are proud to send off our 6th grade students with confidence as they head to middle school. Their leadership, energy, and kindness have left a lasting mark, and we know they are ready for what’s next.
To all of our families—thank you for being a vital part of our school community. Whether through PTA events, classroom volunteering, or daily encouragement at home, your involvement makes a difference.
As we head into summer, I hope each of you finds time to relax, read something new, and enjoy time with loved ones. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in August for another exciting year of learning and growing together.
Wishing you a joyful and restful summer!
April Martin, Proud Principal and Kassandra Flading, Assistant Principal
