✅ Required Training Updates Based on Your Feedback!

As a result of employee feedback, access to school year 2025-26 required trainings will be available Tuesday, July 1, through this application (VPN needed). View a video tutorial on how to use the application. On August 1, employees will be able to access their required trainings through an auto-generated email sent to their FCPS account or on the Assigned Training page in MyPDE. If they have completed trainings through the summer portal, they will not receive the auto-generated email. Most trainings are due Monday, September 15.

Also, in response to employee feedback and FCPS' efforts to streamline trainings, required training hours have been reduced, and some trainings have been converted to acknowledgement statements.

🥾 On the Path to MyPath!

MyPath is on track to roll out in early 2026. It will empower employees and managers with a seamless, intuitive self-service experience for employment-related tasks. A single application will replace multiple sites that employees and managers currently access including MyTime and UConnect.

In MyPath, employees will be able to:

  • Manage personal contact information and update direct deposit bank account information.
  • View pay and compensation and make benefits enrollment changes (during open enrollment and life changes).
  • Review and submit time or request leave.

Managers will access MyPath to:

  • Access direct report information and view staff employment details.
  • Receive notifications for actionable items and approve employee time cards and leave requests.
  • Request a new assignment for hourly charges (formerly HR-11).

MyPath will also have comprehensive support resources such as step-by-step user guides and interactive navigation steps for certain tasks. Learn more about MyPath on the Employee Hub.

Student Rights and Responsibilities (SR&R) Updates for 2025-26 School Year

At their May 8 meeting, the Fairfax County School Board approved changes to the SR&R, including its cell phone policy. Other SR&R updates include added clarity and/or procedures around topics such as discipline data, parent notifications, hate speech, and integrated discipline training. The full list of changes is available on Boarddocs.

Cell Phone Policy Update for High Schools

Beginning in August, high school students can only use their cell phones and other personal devices (AirPods, smart watches, etc.) during lunch and before or after school. This is a change from FCPS’ current cell phone policy, which allows high schoolers to use devices during passing periods. Next school year, students must keep devices off and away during classroom time and during passing periods between classes.
