Dear Poplar Tree Families,
It was another busy week at Poplar Tree! We had lots of grade level end of year celebrations including our 6th grade promotion and party today! A huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the party a success!
Our smallest Panthers have some words to share with our 6th graders as they move onto middle school. Check out this cute video of some of our Kindergarteners on Facebook HERE!
Only 3 more days for students this school year! We can do this Panthers!

💻Device Collection📱
Next week, we will be collecting ALL student devices. 3rd - 6th students must bring in their laptops and chargers!
ALL devices must be checked in. If your child is attending ESY, we sill need to collect their device, but will make sure they have access during ESY.
Digital resources for elementary students are available for continued support during the summer. These resources may require students to log in with their FCPS Google account. Learn more about these digital resources HERE.
If you do not have access to a device, you may check out a device for your student over the summer. To check out a device, please print and fill out the form linked HERE and return it to school with your student on Monday or Tuesday when they turn in their device. We will still need to check in the device and then check it back out to your child.
You will be responsible for any of the lost/damaged devices. The device must be returned by July 30. If you have any question contact our School Based Technology Specialist, Leslie Leisey. Thank you!
💊End of Year Medication Pickup💉
The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than 1:30 pm on Wednesday, June 11, the last day of school. Medication left in the health room after that time will be destroyed. Medication cannot be sent home with students. Thank you!
🎺 Join Band or Strings🎻
Families of rising 4th, 5th and 6th graders: follow this link to register your student to be in the PTES Band or Strings programs for next year! Joining the PTES Band and Strings programs gives your student the opportunity to perform at various events such as Solo and Ensemble and Fire and Ice as well as yearly concerts.
🎓Class of 2025 Grad Walk!🎓
We are looking forward to welcoming back all our PTES alumni on Monday, June 9 for our annual grad walk! Students should arrive in the front for photos by 9:45. The walk will begin at 10:00.
Welcome New Board Members!!
At the last meeting of the year, the PTA voted in a 2025-2026 board. We're excited to have lots of new members who will be filling an expanded slate of positions. We will have lots of additional volunteer opportunities, including opening on fundraising, staff appreciation and programs committees! Celebrate the end of the school year and help Poplar Tree earn fundraising dollars at the same time! The Chantilly location is hosting a Spirit Week for Poplar Tree from June 9-13 at 14333 Newbrook Drive, Chantilly, VA 20151.
