Thank you for the 21 years of commitment to Edison Academy and nearly 40 years in Fairfax County Public Schools. The support to all of the academy programs and teachers but most importantly to the many students who have sat in our classrooms, is irreplaceable. Workplace Readiness Skills Certification

Students in our Automotive Collision Services, Automotive Technology, HVAC, Veterinary Science, and Criminal Justice programs completed the Workplace Readiness Skills Exam. This year we had 280 students earn this certification in their Academy classes.


Automotive Collision

Student Credentials Earned

All of the students enrolled in Construction Technology completed the National Center for Construction Education & Research Curriculum (NCCER) and passed the Core Construction Skills Assessment. Additionally, 58% also completed the Carpentry Level 1 Assessment.

Student Credentials and School Based Enterprise Success

Students in Culinary Arts take the National Restaurant Association’s SERV Safe exams. Level 1 had 40% of students pass, Level 2 had 91% of students pass, and all Level 3 students passed. 

Additionally, Bistro 1093 served over 1400 meals this year! If you have not enjoyed a dine in or take out meal from the Bistro, be on the look out next school year for information on how to get on the distribution list.

Student Credentials Earned

All of our Level 2 students completed the International Code Council (ICC) Residential Electrical Inspector Certification. Additionally, 100% also completed the National Center for Construction Education & Research Curriculum (NCCER) Core Construction Skills Assessment and 94% also completed the Electrician Level 1 Assessment.

Finally, all Level 3 students added NCCER Electrician Level 2 Curriculum to their accomplishments.
